Background of the Person:Mrs. Swapna Rani, wife of Dileep, was married at a very young age, immediately after completing the 10th grade. She has three children two sons and one daughter who are currently pursuing their education. She had no understanding of family life, very little knowledge or awareness, and never went outside her home. She belongs to a BPL family and comes from a very poor background.

Problem and Solution: Mrs. Swapna Rani learned about the Self-Help Group (SHG) formed by ORBIT organization staff and became a member. She began participating in meetings and initially had many desires but lacked the information to fulfill them. After joining the SHG, she started going out of her house and attending meetings, events, information workshops, and training sessions. Over time, she developed leadership qualities and the ability to bring people together.

Through various training programs, she gained knowledge and worked as a facilitator in the NRLM project at the Gram Panchayat. With guidance from ORBIT staff, she took a loan of ₹1,00,000 from the SHG and started a business, engaging in self-employment. She also built networks with officials by visiting different government departments. The ORBIT organization provided her with guidance, information, and motivation, teaching her that women are not weak but strong. Following this guidance, she started a grocery shop and saree business. As a result, all her expenses are covered, and she earns about ₹300 per day. She now lives happily with her family.

Opinion: She expressed her deep gratitude to the ORBIT organization for providing guidance and motivation. She stated that today, she has developed leadership qualities, takes responsibility, and strives to progress in life. She thanked all the ORBIT coordinators and staff for supporting her in every way to achieve her goals and said that she will always remain indebted to them.
