Introduction: Mrs. Shridevi lives in Siddharthnagar. She has two children one daughter and one son whom she takes care of and sends to school. She studied up to PUC Second Year. Her husband found it very difficult to go out for work. With the help of ORBIT, she formed a Self-Help Group (SHG) in Siddharthnagar with ten members, took the position of president, and conducted monthly meetings with all members.

Problem and Solution: Her husband struggled to sustain the family through his earnings alone. After receiving information and training from the SHG, Mrs. Shridevi thought of starting a flour mill but initially had no funds. Their SHG received a bank loan approval of ₹2,00,000. She discussed with her family and decided to start the flour mill.

With support from ORBIT, they took a bank loan of ₹25,000 for the first time and set up a basic unit at their location. The second time, they took a bank loan of ₹50,000 and purchased a flour mill. Using the profits from this, along with a third bank loan of ₹10,000 plus ₹15,000 from the mill’s earnings, they purchased a grinder (khara). After finishing household work, she operates the flour mill and the grinder. She mentioned that they earn a profit of ₹800 to ₹1,000 per day.

Opinion: She expressed that by joining the SHG through ORBIT, receiving various trainings, and participating in multiple programs, she has been able to live her life smoothly. She expressed heartfelt gratitude on behalf of herself and her family.
