Family Background:
Shweta is a resident of Baswantpur village, Humnabad Taluk. There are five members in the family. She has one younger sister studying in 1st standard. Her father works as a labourer, and her mother is a homemaker.

Child’s Main Problem:
She has physical mobility problems and speech difficulties. She underwent two surgeries for her legs in Kalaburagi, but they did not result in much improvement.

Activities Provided:
We visited the child’s home and informed the parents about our Early Intervention Program. After analysing her developmental delays, we discussed and set goals with the parents and started home-based activities.Activities included:
• Crawling exercises
• Knee-standing exercises
• Standing with support
• Wall-walking practice
• Tricycle mobility training
A UDID card was also facilitated for the child.

Improvements Noticed:
Due to weekly home visits and activity-based intervention, the child can now walk using a tricycle without anyone’s help. Seeing this improvement, the parents thanked ORBIT organization.
