Family Background:
The child lives in a rented house in Shivanagar Colony, Humnabad. There are four members in the family. She has an elder sister studying in 1st standard. Her father works as a peon in a bank. The mother is a homemaker and takes care of the children.

Child’s Main Problem:
Sanidhya is affected by Down syndrome, and she is unable to walk or speak clearly.

Activities Provided:
We visited the child’s home and informed the parents about our Early Intervention Program. After analyzing the child’s developmental delays, we discussed and set goals with the parents and started home-based activities.

The child was trained in:
• Sitting in a tub
• Sitting in the corner of the room
• Standing with a standing frame

Improvements Noticed:
Because of weekly home visits and continuous activities, the child now sits without support. She eats on her own, attempts to speak letters like ba, ta, aa, can stand in the standing frame, and moves around using different walkers. Seeing this progress, the parents expressed their gratitude.
