Family Background:
Prarthana is 4 years old. Her father works as a shepherd, and her mother is a homemaker. There are six members in the household. Prarthana is the eldest daughter and has one younger sister.

Child’s Main Problem:
Physical movement difficulties
• Speech disorder

Activities Provided:
We visited the child’s home and explained our Early Detection and Early Intervention program to the parents. After analyzing the child’s delays, goals were set and home-based and sub-center activities were started.

Activities included:
• Standing with support
• Wall-walking
• Standing inside a bucket with sand (weight-bearing activity)
• Powder blowing activity
• Balloon blowing for speech improvement

AUDID card was facilitated, and the family is now receiving ₹2000 per month. A standing frame was also provided.

Improvements Noticed:
Because of weekly visits and continuous intervention, the child can now stand and sit in the standing frame without support. She has begun producing speech sounds. The parents have expressed their gratitude to ORBIT organization.
