Family Background:
Nakshatra’s father, Nagaraj, works as a daily wage laborer and the mother is a homemaker. The family consists of a total of 6 members.

Child’s Main Problem:
The child did not cry at birth, resulting in delayed development. The child cannot speak, cannot stand independently, and is unable to walk.

Activities Provided:
The child was identified through the Anganwadi worker. A home visit was conducted, and the parents were counseled regarding the child’s condition. With parental consent, health checkup and assessment were conducted, and delay was confirmed. Day-to-day activities were suggested. Twice a month, home visits were made to teach activities such as standing with wall support, walking practice, and producing two-letter sounds. Colorful objects were shown to the child for recognition. The ORBIT organization provided nutritional food, and a UDID card was made for the child.

Changes Observed:
The child can now stand with wall support and tries to take steps. The child can speak sounds like “ba,” “ta.” They are receiving monthly pension. Seeing the improvement, the parents thanked ORBIT and APD organizations for their work.
