Family Background:
Madhumati is a resident of Maniknagar village. Her mother is the only earning member of the family. Her father has passed away, and she lives with her two sisters.

Cause of Illness:
Due to academic pressure, family stress, and her mother's behaviour, Madhumati developed a mental illness.

Symptoms:
• Staying at home without proper clothes
• Quarrelling with visitors
• Sitting on a pot filled with water
• Throwing stones
• Using abusive language

Support from ORBIT Organization:
Two years ago, during survey work, ORBIT field animator Mrs. In May 2023, during a village survey, ORBIT field animator Mamatha identified her condition. With repeated visits and guidance, Counselling was provided by Mr. Santosh from the APD organization. The family was also advised to call helpline 14416. With continuous Counselling and government hospital treatment, she showed great improvement.

Current Condition:
She now performs small household tasks. Her medication has been reduced. Her aggressive behaviours shouting, hitting, and fighting have decreased significantly. She now works online from home, earning ₹500–₹1000 per day, and also participates in the Employment Guarantee Scheme. She expresses sincere gratitude to ORBIT for their support.
