Family Background: Karabasappa resides in Kalluru village. He has three elder sisters, all of whom are married. His family is very poor. His parents work as daily wage labourers, managing household expenses with their earnings.

Cause of Illness: Karabasappa was in love with his cousin’s daughter and wished to marry her. However, his uncle rejected the proposal and arranged her marriage elsewhere. This emotional setback caused him deep mental distress.

Symptoms: He began behaving erratically wandering without clothes, shouting unnecessarily, and hitting people without reason. He became aggressive and violent, forcing the family to restrain him for safety.

Support from ORBIT: ORBIT field workers visited his house multiple times and encouraged him to seek treatment at the government hospital. After continuous efforts, he agreed to go for treatment. A doctor examined him and prescribed medication. Earlier, the family had spent large amounts on private treatment and traditional healers, but without improvement.With ORBIT’s regular home visits, medication monitoring, and guidance, his condition steadily improved.

Present Condition: Karabasappa now works as a daily wage labourer and earns ₹400 per day. He performs his tasks responsibly and continues to improve. His family expresses deep gratitude to the ORBIT Organization for their support.
