Before Intervention: The child remained lying down all the time. He could not sit or stand independently and could not even recognize his mother.

How Identified: Identified through ASHA worker Jaishree.

Assessment Findings:
The child had:
• Poor neck control
• Lack of visual tracking
• Inability to sit or stand
• No sound recognition
• Difficulty eating
• Did not play with other children

Recommendations:
The child was assessed, and an MRI scan was advised.

Intervention Provided:
A visit was made every 15 days, and activities were conducted at the sub-center, including:
• Corner sitting
• Supported standing
• Clapping sound activities
• Holding objects
• Oro-motor exercises
• Social mingling with children

Outcome:
After intervention, notable improvements were observed:
• Neck control improved
• Recognition of mother’s voice
• Finger grasp to hold objects
• Ability to recognize others
A UDID card was facilitated by the government. ORBIT organization provided a standing frame and nutrition support.
