Arjun Singh lives in Kappargaon with his wife and child. His wife is an ASHA worker, and she manages the household expenses with her limited income.

Cause of Illness:He developed severe depression and mental health issues after the death of his son, who passed away six years after birth.

Before ORBIT’s Intervention:
The family had taken him many private hospitals and spent a large amount of money, but his condition remained the same.

After ORBIT’s Intervention:
In December 2022–23, ORBIT staff identified his condition through a survey. They explained about mental illness and the availability of free treatment.

They reassured the family that medicines in government hospitals are the same as those in private hospitals, only the colour differs.

With regular participation in DMHP camps, continuous medication, follow-up visits, and Counselling, his symptoms have greatly reduced.
