Appanna lives with his parents and two brothers. He worked as a college lecturer. He performed his duties well and was earning a good salary, due to which the family was living comfortably.
Reason for Illness:
While he was working in the college, a girl falsely accused him of being in love with her. Her family members came and assaulted Appanna inside the college. This incident pushed him into mental illness.
Symptoms:
He used to hit everyone at home, shout loudly, scream, use abusive language, and throw stones at people.

A year and a half ago, during a survey, Mahadevi, a field worker of the Navajeevana programme, visited their house. After learning about the situation, she informed the family about mental illness and available treatment.The family said they had visited private hospitals and even tried rituals in temples, spending a lot of money, but nothing helped.She convinced the parents to bring him every Wednesday to Humnabad Government Hospital, where he received free treatment and medicines. They followed the advice and obtained medicines.
Current Condition:
He washes his face daily, does small household tasks, and has shown health improvement. ORBIT Organization has also given them two goats. He takes good care of them, grazes them properly, and stays engaged. Because of this, his condition has improved. The family expresses heartfelt gratitude to ORBIT Organization.
