She took her first loan of ₹5,000 from the SHG and used it for household expenses and children’s education, and repaid the loan by doing wage labour. Later, she again took a loan from the SHG and bought goats/sheep for rearing while continuing wage labour.
Her elder son goes to school and also works. Earlier, her husband used to do wage labour, but now he has taken up contract-based work. The younger son and daughter attend school.

Mrs. Anita says: “Earlier, I did not know anything what to do or how to do. After joining the SHG, we received enormous support. Every month we collect around ₹11,500 from group savings and rotate loans. By taking loans 10–12 times and investing properly, we have earned good income and our family is doing well.”
She further expressed: “All of this has become possible only because of the ORBIT organization. They showed concern for poor families like us, encouraged us to move forward with confidence, gave training and proper guidance. On behalf of myself and my family, I am deeply grateful to the ORBIT organization.”
