Family Background:
The child is a resident of Kanakatta village in Humnabad taluk. The father works as a daily-wage laborer, and the mother is a homemaker. The parents have two children: one boy and one girl. There are four members in the family.

Birth History:
At birth, the child did not cry and was kept in an incubator. The child also has fits (seizures).

Before Intervention:
The child was unable to sit or stand, could not speak, did not hold objects placed in his hands, and could not recognize people.

Recommendation:
ORBIT organization staff visited the child’s home, conducted close discussions with the parents to understand the child’s needs, and started home-based activities.

Intervention Implemented:
• Sitting on the floor with wall support
• Holding objects or toys in hand
• Showing puppets
• Showing colorful objects
• Activities to help the child recognize people

Medical Intervention: After initial interventions, doctors recommended physiotherapy for the child.

After Intervention:
• The child can now sit for half an hour with wall support
• Can stand using a standing frame
• Holds objects in his hands
• Recognizes parents and people outside the home

• A UDI (Unique Disability ID) card was issued by the government, providing financial assistance
