Introduction: Smt. Abeda Begum is a member of the Sathya Jyothi group. She lives in Nalwadi village of Bidar district. She has four children, and three of them are married. Abeda and her husband work as daily wage laborers. They have a BPL card and also own a small house.

Problem and Solution: After joining the group, she received training and actively participates in all the group meetings. Earlier, her family faced many difficulties. They lived in extreme poverty. ORBIT organization staff informed her about the concept of kitchen gardening. Abeda used the small space around her house to plant various vegetable seeds and started growing vegetables, through which she now earns a good income.

Instead of going out for work, she now cultivates vegetables in her kitchen garden, sells them in the market, and manages her household expenses with the income earned from it. ORBIT organization has provided proper guidance and support to her, especially when she previously had no work and lacked information. This support has become a foundation for her life and her family’s well-being.
