Outcomes and Impact:
• The vocational skills acquired enabled women and girls to initiate income-generating activities.• Many beneficiaries, who were previously not earning, now earn a minimum of Rs. 6,000 per month, thereby improving their standard of living and family well-being.
• Empowerment of rural women, adolescent girls, and youth by building their capacities, improving their economic independence, and linking them to essential services and governance systems.
• Laid the foundation for sustainable development and dignity among marginalized communities in Bidar
c) SAVE A FAMILY PLAN: SUPPORTED BY SAVE A FAMILY PLAN TRUST (INDIA) 2018-2019
Place of Operation:
Economic empowerment of rural women in Kosam and Halhiparga villages in Halbarga, Bhalki Taluka.Objectives:
• 20 women were provided free solar powered tailoring machines and trained in tailoring and entrepreneurial skills.• Conducted 177 training sessions for 4596 underprivileged women on 26 topics.
d) SKILL DEVELOPMENT AND INCOME GENERATION PROGRAM (SDIGP-2019)
Objectives:
• To improve livelihood security of vulnerable groups.• To enhance the productivity of backward and marginalized communities through skill-building.
• To promote income generation and vocational training opportunities.
• To support micro-credit units for business development and growth.
• To empower individuals to self-manage and sustain their livelihoods using their capabilities.
Outcome:
• 187 beneficiaries trained across various skills.• Improved livelihood opportunities and income generation capacity for women and youth.
• Participants gained critical awareness on health, rights, and leadership.
• Encouraged self-employment and micro-enterprise development.
• Strengthened community resilience through capacity-building and empowerment.

The Skill Development Program aimed to empower youth and women from poor and marginalized communities by enhancing their employability. The following trades were offered:• Beautician Course

• Driving Course
Objectives:
• To increase the livelihood opportunities for the Rural Women.• Enhance employability of youth and women through vocational training in trades like tailoring, driving, and beauty services.
Outcomes:
• Many trainees became self-employed or secured jobs, improving household incomes.• supplied solar powered Machine
• This program helped build self-confidence and promoted income generation, improving the living standards of many families in rural Bidar.
f) SABALA
Aim of the project:
By February 2025, empowered 90 economically backward family members of CSP children of Bidar District, in Karnataka State in India, will have enhanced their standard of living through self-employment and income-generating activities. (CSP Diocesan and CSP Children with Sr. Rajani families are included in the proposal)Project Objectives:
• By February 2025, 30 family members of CSP children from Bidar district will have achieved empowerment and a better standard of living by earning an income of Rs 6000 by gaining and employing their skills as beauticians.• By February 2025, 30 family members of CSP children from Bidar district will have achieved empowerment and a better standard of living by earning an income of Rs 7000 by learning and employing their Driving skills.
• By February 2025, 30 family members of CSP children from Bidar district will have achieved empowerment and a better standard of living by earning an income of Rs 6000 by learning and employing their Tailoring skills.
• By February 2025, 30 family members of CSP children from Bidar district will have achieved empowerment and a better standard of living by earning an income of Rs 6000 by learning and employing their computer training.
Activities Proposed In Sabala
1. Screening camp for skill training of the project: Trainees will be selected through a screening camp for various pieces of training.2. EDP Training for participants of each training: As part of EDP training, NGO will train for a day the selected beneficiaries of the project to enhance their knowledge on the promotion of Sustainable Livelihood initiatives, and business and marketing skills.
3. Training for 30 family members (Women and Girls) of CSP children in Beautician skills: 10 each beneficiary in a batch (3 batches in a year) will attend the beautician course for 45 days, and acquire the skills of a beautician.
4. Training for 30 rural unemployed youth of CSP Family Members in Driving skills: 10 trainees in a batch will attend one month-long training (3 batches in a year to learn skills of Driving.
5. Training for 30 Women and Female youth of CSP in Tailoring: 10 trainees each in a batch will attend 45 days long tailoring training (3 batches in a year) course to acquire skills of cutting and stitching clothes.
6. Training for 30 SCP rural unemployed youth for Computer training: 10 each trainee in a batch (3 batches in a year) will attend 60 days long training to learn computer skills.
7. Training on life skills for 120 SCP family members: All the trainees of each skill training will get awareness on health, hygiene, sanitation, life skills, soft skills, communication skills, and Basic English as part of their skill training
Introduction
The Sabala Skill Development Program was begun on 1st March 2024 to empower the parents of sponsored children through skill development, enabling them to break free from the cycle of poverty and build a secure future. Through this initiative, the parents especially women were trained in tailoring, beautician skills, and driving, while sponsored children received computer training to help them access better career opportunities in the digital world. Today, as we look back, we celebrate the transformation of lives, families, and the communities.Each course was carefully designed in Itga, Gandhi Nagar, Jalasangi, Ujini, Santhpur and Nagamarpally, Bhalki and Humnabad of Bidar District. Altogether 175 Beneficiaries have completed the course in tailoring, beautician, driving and the computer courses
