To provide safe drinking water to rural communities and schools in water-scarce areas and to train communities in water conservation and management.Outcomes:
Communities gained access to clean drinking water, resulting in reduced waterborne diseases, better school attendance, and the empowerment of local water committees.Narrative:
The project addressed severe water scarcity in rural Karnataka by installing Bore well, overhead tanks, and public tap systems. Community participation was encouraged through the formation of water management committees, ensuring sustainability and ownership.c) NAIP NATIONAL AGRICULTURE INNOVATION PROGRAM (2009)

To promote climate-resilient and organic farming practices among small and marginal farmers.Outcomes:
• Established 120 self-help groups with a total of 1200 members of both men and women.• Provided grinding machines to the farmers and enabled them how to use and maintain the machines.
• Provided the awareness programs on book keeping, conflict management an how to save money to the self-help group members
• With money provide by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research the veternaries were able to buy goats for the selected self-help group members
• Conducted Animal Heath Camp headed by the Veternaries.
• Farming productivity increased, and dependency on chemicals reduced. Farmers gained knowledge in sustainable agriculture.

• To raise awareness among citizens about the importance of solid waste management.• To educate the public on methods of waste segregation at the source (wet and dry waste).
• To encourage active community participation in maintaining a clean and healthy environment.
• To support the CMC’s efforts in achieving a cleaner and greener Bidar city.
Outcomes:
• Awareness campaigns successfully conducted in all 35 wards of Bidar city.• Increased knowledge among residents about waste segregation and eco-friendly waste disposal practices.
• Enhanced community involvement in solid waste management activities.
• Positive behavioral changes observed in waste handling and cleanliness among local residents.
• Strengthened collaboration between ORBIT, local government, and the community.
